MARUTHI INTRODUCES ERTICA A NEW 7 SEATER CAR

Maruti Suzuki India unveiled the 7-seater MUV or you can say LUV "Ertiga" at the 2012 auto expo in New Delhi on 6th January, 2012. It is based on the RIII concept which was displayed at the auto expo in New Delhi in 2010. Maruti Ertiga is available in seven variants with two engine options - petrol and diesel. The petrol one is 1373cc K-series engine which generates maximum power of 93.8 bhp with maximum torque of 130 nm. The diesel engine is 1248cc 16V Multijet, which generates maximum power of 88.8 bhp with maximum torque of 200 nm. The tag-line of Maruti Ertiga is 'A Feeling Called LUV'. Maruti Suzuki India has priced Ertiga very competitively at Rs. 5.89 lakhs for the base model of petrol and Rs. 7.30 lakhs for the base model of diesel. Maruti Ertiga is available in seven shades: Serene Blue, Ecru Beige, Fire Brick Red, Granite Grey, Silky Silver, Dusky Brown and Superio White.

Design and Interiors of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Maruti Ertiga is a proper seven-seater with foldable rear seats to increase the boot space. Maruti Ertiga looks very handsome and proportionate and gives feel of a MPV with its monospace design. From the outside Ertiga looks like a mix of Swift and Ritz, more like an extended version of the same. Inside, it features three rows of front facing seats; the last row is strictly for kids. You can increase the luggage space by folding the 2nd and 3rd row of seats. The dash and steering of Ertiga is similar to the new Swift but in combination of black and beige. The fully loaded variants of Ertiga also comes with steering mounted audio controls, manual HVAC and dash-integrated music system. As far as safety is concerned, the top model of Maruti Ertiga (ZXi and ZDi) features dual airbags and ABS with EBD.

Maruti Suzuki India has revealed all the details about the technical specifications of Ertiga; it is available in both petrol and diesel. The petrol mill has displacement of 1373cc with maximum power of 93.8 bhp on tap at 6000 rpm. It generates maximum torque of 130 nm at 4000 rpm. The diesel engine has displacement of 1196cc with maximum power of 88.8 bhp at 4000 rpm. It generates maximum torque of 200 nm at 1750 rpm.
