New SKODA LAURA Launches 2011

Skoda India launches a stripped

down variant of the Skoda Laura Ambiente, the new 2011 Skoda Laura 1.8 TSi Classic in India at a price tag of Rs. 12.25 lakh. The new variant is a very heavily stripped down version of the Ambiente missing a long list of features. Basically, this can be seen as Skoda’s take on the “Corporate Edition” launches by BMW.

The new Laura Classic has been stripped of a long list of features. Check out the list below :

Alloy Wheels

Height adjustment for driver and front passenger seats

Lumbar support adjustment for driver and front passenger seats

Front center armrest

Central infotainment system

Škoda Swing audio player

Audio Auxiliary

Adjustable rear air conditioning vents on rear center console

Leather wrapped steering wheel, gearshift knob and brake lever

Storage compartment under the front passenger seat

Cooled Jumbo box under front armrest

Eyewear compartment

Front fog lights

Parktronic sensors and speaker at rear

Parktronic display on central infotainment system

On the brighter side of things, the new Laura Classic comes with the same 1.8 TSi engine as on the Ambiente, so that means one does not have to compromise atleast in terms of power. Also, the new Laura Classic could prove to be Skoda’s take on the Fiat Linea T-Jet, which till now was competing with the likes of the Honda City and Volkswagen Vento
