     Suzuki has launched Ciaz’s twin in the Chinese market christened as Alivio. The Suzuki Alivio prices starts at 84900 Yuan and goes all the way to 121900 Yuan (approximately Rs 8.64 - 12.44 lac). The sedan in China comes only with a 1.6-liter petrol engine unlike ours which is also offered with a 1.3-liter diesel along with a 1.4-liter petrol. Earlier in December, Maruti Suzuki has recalled 3,796 units of its recently launched mid-sized sedan Ciaz to replace a faulty part of clutch operation system, manufactured till 7 November. The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost, and the dealers across the country have already started contacting the owners of impacted vehicles. For self checking, Ciaz customers can fill in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) in the MSI's official website 'www.marutisuzuki.com' to ascertain if their sedan is among the above mentioned vehicles or not.

While the top end variants also has aspects like a set of 16-inch alloy wheels, speed volume compensation along with push button engine start and stop function. Its external appearance is quite stylish owing to its sleek body structure featuring trendy cosmetics. Its front facade gets a beautifully structured chrome radiator grille that is flanked by dual port headlight cluster. Its rear end has a stylish tailgate with integrated spoiler and is decorated with chrome badge. 
    This sedan also has a body colored rear bumper featuring a pair of black reflector consoles, which adds to the safety quotient. Its interiors are spacious, plush and has dual tone color scheme, which is further accentuated by metallic inserts. It gets a uniquely structured dashboard that is equipped with a storage unit, a stylishly crafted instrument panel and an in-car entertainment system.
    The car maker is offering its V+ and Z-grade variants with advanced features like a fully automatic climate control system and height adjustable driver's seat, which further adds to the customer delight. As far as its safety aspects are concerned, the entry level variants are incorporated with central locking system, engine immobilizer, anti-theft security system, three-point seat belts and rear defogger. While the anti lock braking system is available feature from VXi+ variants. In addition to these, it gets reverse parking sensors and and driver side airbag as standard. On the other hand, the top end variants are bestowed dual front airbags, which improves the safety for occupants. This vehicle will now lock horns with the likes of Honda City, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Verna, and Volkswagen Vento in the entry level sedan segment.

The fuel-efficiency is further enhanced by paying special attention to reducing friction in engine components which contributes to smooth running & reduced engine noise
The 1.3L DDiS200 diesel engine with Variable Geometry Turbo charger generates optimum power and excellent torque. The combination of common rail fuel injection with an inter-cooled turbocharger delivers dynamic torque for excellent acceleration and all-round performance, together with best-in-class fuel-efficiency.
